Fifth Grade Rite of Passage

Eastwood Christian School Fifth Graders Celebrate Rite of Passage

Eastwood Christian School’s fifth-grade students concluded their time in the Grammar School with the annual Capstone event and Rite of Passage Ceremony. This meaningful event celebrates their growth, both academically and spiritually, as they prepare to enter the Logic School.

A highlight of the Capstone event is the students’ recitation of the Trinitarian Academic Catechisms—a series of carefully crafted questions and answers that affirm their understanding of God’s truth across all subjects. This is the culmination of students writing and memorizing these catechisms first through fifth grades in the Grammar School.

The ceremony celebrated students with character awards, and served as a time of blessing, as the fifth graders were charged by Principal Will Moore before stepping into the next phase of their journey—the Logic School. As they move forward, these students carry with them a strong foundation in truth, beauty, and goodness, prepared to ask deeper questions, think critically, and engage more fully with the world around them.
