Angie Markwell

Angie Markwell is the wife of Roger and the mother of three wonderful adult children, Ansley, Margaret Anne, and Andrew. Mrs. Markwell grew up in southwest Georgia and attended Troy University where she earned a B.S. degree in history with a social sciences minor and a M.S. degree in elementary education. She taught public school for 3 ½ years before enjoying 13 years as a stay-at-home mom. When her youngest entered 1st grade in 2006, she returned to the classroom to invest in the school (ECS), which had been such a blessing to her family. Mrs. Markwell has taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grades in her tenure at ECS. She loves the Classical Christian Education model as she has seen firsthand with her own children the result of children trained to think and express themselves coherently. Mrs. Markwell enjoys reading in her spare time, watching all kinds of sports (especially SEC football!), and spending time by large bodies of water such as the lake and the beach. Teaching at ECS is especially gratifying for Mrs. Markwell because of the people with whom she works and the many opportunities she has to talk about Jesus!
