Katie Schmitt

Mrs. Schmitt will be teaching History and Literature, PreAlgebra, and Geography. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Secondary Education Certification from the University of Mobile in 2011 and has thoroughly enjoyed being in the classroom since 2012 when she has not been at home with her children - Haddon, Piper Kate, and Knox. She is passionate about Bible literacy and strives to help students discover the elements of the metanarrative of Scripture in literature and all of life. Katie and Andrew appreciate Eastwood’s desire to partner with parents in making disciples for Christ, beginning with their own children and then the students whom the Lord places in their classrooms. Playing volleyball, tasting new ice cream flavors, and window shopping are all ways to Katie’s heart!
