Steve Shuemake
Dr. Steve Shuemake will be teaching our new Grammar School Music Class. Dr. Shuemake comes to Eastwood Christian School as a retired employee of the City of Montgomery where he served as the Assistant Director of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Steve has been involved in the arts for many years including drama and music. He served as the Minister of Music for the First United Methodist Church in Chipley, Florida, as well as guest director for a number of churches in the Dothan area. Dr. Shuemake says he is “excited to bring another music opportunity to Eastwood.” In addition to music, Steve shares a love for teaching. He has been a substitute teacher at ECS for the past year. As a lifelong learner, he has earned a Bachelor of Religious Education, a Master of Ministry in Business Administration, a Doctor of Religious Education, and a Ph.D. with an emphasis in Christian School Administration. Steve’s wife, Julie, serves as the Financial Administrator at ECS. They have three children who are all attending Eastwood Christian School.
